Learn to Play
Join our Learn to Play programmes for a fun and friendly introduction to the sport. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming community, and we can't wait to welcome you to our team. Our experienced coaches are here to guide you every step of the way and provide all the gear you need.

We have youth and mixed adult programmes as well as our women's trainings that are beginner inclusive.

Training

Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, join us on Saturday mornings during the school term for a variety of training sessions.

On our events page you'll find a description of what we have on each week. This can be anything from a regular practice, to scrimmage, power skating or bring a friend.


Women's League
Join our Women’s Ice Hockey Leagues and be part of a fun, social, and welcoming community of female athletes. Both leagues are played 3v3 on Monday nights, giving you plenty of ice time, skill development, and friendly competition.

Queen Bees
The Wellington Ice Hockey Association's Queen Bees are a team of passionate, dedicated, and skilled women who represent the best of our sport. From experienced veterans to talented young players, the Queen Bees have been a strong pipeline for female athletes, with some players loaned to other regions and opportunities to play in the NZWIHL.

In 2025, the team proudly won the Dunedin Challenge Cup and played a series of exhibition games in Dunedin. Building on this success, the Queen Bees are continuing their journey to establish themselves as a national-level team, pushing to grow and compete at the highest levels.
