The International Ice Hockey Federation will host its annual Global Girls' Game March 7th & 8th, 2026. The Global Girls' Game is a worldwide initiative during which international hockey federations host games in succession around the world. This will be Wellington's game to showcase our women!

The Global Girls’ Game is an annual worldwide initiative led by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), taking place across March 7–8, 2026. Ice hockey federations around the world host games in succession, creating a continuous, global celebration of girls’ and women’s ice hockey.
This year, Wellington is proud to be part of the Global Girls’ Game, showcasing our women’s hockey community and helping grow the game both locally and around the world.
This is a free, inclusive event and open to everyone — whether you’re brand new to hockey, have skated a few times, or just want to come along and watch.
